upcoming: April

Hi guys! It has been a while since i posted or wrote something here. April is knocking on your door from tomorrow on, and it will be a month with a lot of working, going to Ghent for work twice and also to Brussels but the most fun part of April is that i'm going to Milan for three days with a friend of mine! Looking forward to that for sure :)

Brussels

A while ago - as in: last year - my friend and I wanted to go to the MIMA museum in Brussels. I bought my trainticket and then checked the timetable from the museum, it was closed :( I texted my friend and we both decided to go to Brussels anyway since I already had my ticket and we acted like tourists, haha. We spotted some nice wall art, ate a vegetarian pitta and walked a lot. We went home after a couple of hours to have a coffee in our hometown. It was nice, we had a great time and the company was lovely :)

birthday gifts

Happy New Year! Hope you will have a blast this year!

To celebrate my birthday in December last year, we went to Ghent. We had a great time and i also got some presents, but also bought myself some :) we went to the place where i did my internship, and i got a lovely cookbook called 'my street food kitchen', the recipes look amazing! 

I bought my first fairtrade eco jeans from MUD, which will last a lifetime, and if it doesn't, you can send it back to the producer and they will make new jeans from it or just cut the jeans into tiny little pieces and make sweaters from it, amazing (website: https://www.supergoods.be/)! In the supergoods store in Ghent, i also treated myself with some Tony's Chocolonely, never enough of that chocolate ;) 

We got a small sample from Seepje, some eco detergent to do your laundry and i got a Petzl from my boyfriend. Last but not least, i got some birthdaymoney from his parents and bought myself a cotton sleeping bag liner. Happy happy me! 

You can never have enough stuff to travel! We already booked 2 trips for next year, yay!

we went for a walk - with goats

A while ago, some friends invited us for breakfast and a walk afterwards with their two goats. Boris & Suzanne live in their backyard and they take them for a walk from time to time. The breakfast was delicious and the walk was nice but also funny. We spotted some people who were walking with their dog and everyone was kind of astonished that we were walking with goats, haha. It was nice to spend our Sunday like this!

Yay! Tomorrow is my 21st birthday and i will be celebrating all day with my boyfriend in Ghent where we'll have lunch and will be shopping in a fairtrade store because my mom wants me to buy a new pair of jeans. Afterwards we will probably go to the movies because i can get in for free because i'm a birthdaygirl ;)

photography course - excursion

I'm following a photography course every Wednesday evening since September and it will last until January. Normally, we take pictures inside or outside the main building where we also get some theory about photography, but last week we did an excursion to a public pool, but we went all around the building and near the water. It was freezing, but nice! It was also the first time i got to use an tripod which wasn't mine but since today i have my own, pics will be online soon!

This photography course I'm following got me like: let's grab my bicycle when I see the sun going down and drive to a place where I can see the sunset & take pictures. Tadaaaa these are the results: two days in a row I went spotting the sunset - enjoy!

weekend walk

a while ago, my boyfriend & i went for a weekend walk, when the weather was nicer here in Belgium ;) now it's all cold & freezing but we got some sunshine yesterday and did a long ride by bike.

chilltime - Dunga Hill

Once upon a time in Kisumu, Kenya we ran out of internet but we needed some, so what did we do? We went to Dunga Hill, an idyllic spot near Lake Victoria and just lovely! The internet was working very slowly so i went out and enjoyed the view and the surroundings, it was really amazing! The vibes were so good :D i really enjoyed being there! We ate some masala fries and had a lot of mango juice - delicious!

How i wish i could be there right now - time of my life!
