photography course - excursion

I'm following a photography course every Wednesday evening since September and it will last until January. Normally, we take pictures inside or outside the main building where we also get some theory about photography, but last week we did an excursion to a public pool, but we went all around the building and near the water. It was freezing, but nice! It was also the first time i got to use an tripod which wasn't mine but since today i have my own, pics will be online soon!

graduated!

Last week was my official graduation, i now have my bachelor's degree in Tourism & leisure management. There were speeches for about an hour and afterwards we talked and sipped some wine to celebrate, however the space was very crowded so we'll have to meet again with the friends to catch up :)

Ghent

hi guys! i'm going to Ghent by train daily and right now, they're decorating the train station with lovely flowers due to an event that's coming soon. i took these pictures with my tablet, i know they're not fabulous but i just wanted to share them! if there's an evolution of their work this week, i'll try to take a picture as well & keep you all up to date!

It's already Saturday and time really went fast this week! On Wednesday i had drinks with a friend, which we'll redo next week since we ran into some old schoolmates and i didn't really get the chance to talk to her 'in private'. I worked out twice this week - as usual - and was also busy for my internship! Last night, my boyfriend and i had some drinks with other friends and we had lots of fun! Today is a beautiful and sunny day here in Belgium but i won't get the chance to enjoy the sunshine since i have to work, and that means leaving the house at noon. It's fun that it won't be dark when i drive home tonight, so that's a good thing. 

Tomorrow means lunch at my boyfriend's place and working for my thesis in the afternoon. The weekend will be gone before i know it!

important day!

hi guys! important day today: i'll be presenting the subject for my thesis at school at 11 am and i'm already practicing since 8 am this morning! i hope they'll like the idea as well as i do but we'll see about that.

the good news is that i have a free afternoon, the sun in Belgium will come out so that's also a boost for me. so no internship today, but chilling in our backyard and go shopping :)

the end of the week!

Weekend, yes indeed! I kinda celebrated this by going to a store in the city nearby where they sell all kinds of food (healthy stuff like granola) without any package. The food is stored in plastic cans and you have to 'tap' the food into a mason jar or weck pot. We brought our own jars and took lots of delicious things home! Unfortunately i don't have any pictures, but here's my ultimate Friday song in return:

enjoy this lovely track!! I'll be working for school tomorrow and going on a dinnerdate with my lovely boyfriend after i did a quick visit to my best friend, she has some health issues and i want to see her to give her some support (also a long time ago that i saw her, so it's a good combo). On Sunday i'll be 'working' as well, Sunday will probably be the sunniest day of the week - i'll attend an information day in Bruges for my internship. The people who signed up for this event will have the opportunity to visit some presentations of different countries, i'll be checking the one of Jordan probably :D

we're on a boat - teambuilding

Hi there! Last week, i went with the whole team (where i do my internship) to Rotterdam. We went on a teambuilding and were invited on the SS Rotterdam. A huuuuuge but yet very beautiful ship in the centre of Rotterdam! I loved to visit the city as well, but the teambuilding was priority of course. The activities were fun & it was also nice to meet lots of colleagues.
These are some pictures i took while being on the boat, unfortunately i don't have pictures from the inside of the boat, which was amazing as well!!

delays and happiness on Friday

good evening! since i have to go to Ghent everyday for my internship, i travel by train. when i wanted to take the train home at 5 pm, the screens in the station told me that the train to get home was cancelled + also lots of delays for other trains.
anyways, i got home, but later than planned! the happiness in the title refers to the fact that i bought a book last week in Rotterdam (pictures coming soon) and i'm already halfway because i have time to read now. i'll be eating a fresh pizza in a few minutes with lots of vegetables and i'll have drinks later this evening with a dear friend that i haven't seen since a while. it's important to be happy with the small things. enjoy this song - i caught myself singing it while taking a shower after my work-out yesterday.

internship - first week

Hi guys! As i mentioned in my previous blogpost, the 1st of February was the first week of my internship in Ghent. It has been very busy, but also very nice! It kinda feels like home already (or is that a weird thing to say after the first week? ;)). Anyways, on Friday i went to a holiday fair in Brussels all day and i had to give explanation about the different organisations we offer. Here are some pictures to show where i spent most of my day - i got home at 9 pm and was very hungry. Luckily my mom ordered Chinese & i ate some delicious rice with curry sauce, lots of vegetables and some scampi.
