delays and happiness on Friday

good evening! since i have to go to Ghent everyday for my internship, i travel by train. when i wanted to take the train home at 5 pm, the screens in the station told me that the train to get home was cancelled + also lots of delays for other trains.
anyways, i got home, but later than planned! the happiness in the title refers to the fact that i bought a book last week in Rotterdam (pictures coming soon) and i'm already halfway because i have time to read now. i'll be eating a fresh pizza in a few minutes with lots of vegetables and i'll have drinks later this evening with a dear friend that i haven't seen since a while. it's important to be happy with the small things. enjoy this song - i caught myself singing it while taking a shower after my work-out yesterday.

internship - first week

Hi guys! As i mentioned in my previous blogpost, the 1st of February was the first week of my internship in Ghent. It has been very busy, but also very nice! It kinda feels like home already (or is that a weird thing to say after the first week? ;)). Anyways, on Friday i went to a holiday fair in Brussels all day and i had to give explanation about the different organisations we offer. Here are some pictures to show where i spent most of my day - i got home at 9 pm and was very hungry. Luckily my mom ordered Chinese & i ate some delicious rice with curry sauce, lots of vegetables and some scampi.

almost February

Wow, time really flies! Especially in January when all I had to do the first weeks was studying, writing my thesis and going to school to fill in exams. It turned out this Friday that i passed al my exams and have a good grade for my thesis - happy me! In January I watched lots of movies, most of them Disney, and read two good books. I worked out twice a week (which I hope to continue for the next three months - we'll see about that), didn't eat any meat at all (vegetarian since December - more about that soon), had a haircut, had drinks with friends, went on a trip to the Belgian coast and said goodbye to lots of friends who will do their internship abroad.
About the internship, it starts tomorrow! Holy moly I'm excited but yet nervous at the same time - I hope it will be as pleasant as my previous (short) internship in May last year. This time, it's for three months that I'll be an intern. So tomorrow is kinda d-day and also the beginning of a new month. Also it's maybe time to start using a new font ;)

the Belgian coast

After a month of studying and working hard, yesterday was the first time i went on a day trip to the Belgian coast. We visited Ostend and went for a long walk, walked into some stores and had a cup of tea. I had a great time and enjoyed the fresh air!
