Kakamega Forest

Yesterday, we went on a trip to the Kakamega Forest in Kenya. We first did a long walk from three to four hours and after a short break, we climbed up the hill that had an amazing view. It's called the sunset walk, you should really do that one if you visit! We slept in a banda, a local type of accommodation. It felt like camping and we even cooked our own meal since there aren't any restaurants in the neighbourhood. It's sad that there are not much visitors because the forest is really worth a visit but they still have to spend a lot of time in turning in the forest into a real visitor attraction. The sunset was beautiful and it was an adventure in our adventure (volunteering), awesome! Never have i ever crossed the equator line, well now i did ;)
